Preliminary Task Evaluation Questions
1. Who did you work with and how did you manage the task between you?
In this exercise i worked with Leonie and Erica. We produced a short film in which we involved different camera angles and camera techniques. I filmed the piece whilst Leonie and Erica acted.
2. How did you plan your sequence? What element did you use for your inspiration?
We planned our sequence by drawing a cartoon strip with pictures and diagrams to show the different types of camera angles. Our inspiration for this task was teen pregnancy and how teenagers reacted.
3. What technology did you use to complete the task, and how did you use it?
To film our piece we used a video camera to film and a tri-pod to create stillness and camera tilting.
4. What factors did you have to take into account when planning, shooting and editing?
We had to take into account the cameras ability and our ability to act and film. Also we had to take into account time and space as we hadnt much time and only a corridoor to film in.
5. How successful was your sequence/magazine cover? Identify what worked well, and with hindsight, what would you improve/do differently?
our final piece was satisfactory. We needed to improve by taking more notice to detail and we needed to work at a quicker pace to finish our film on time.
6. What have you learnt from completing this task? Looking ahead, how will this learning be significant when completing the rest of your foundation coursework?
We have learnt to use a video camera and how to create better filming through camera angles and camera techniques.
